The Craft of Common Craft

Join us on Monday December 15, 10:30am-11:45am (check local time) for an open online discussion with Lee LeFever one half of the creative duo at Common Craft (http://www.commoncraft.com/) that produce the popular ___________ in Plain English videos that many educators use to help explain technical or complex topics. As their site explains, their goal is to make "videos that are short, simple and focused on making complex ideas easy to understand."
In this Connect@NMC online seminar, Lee will share a bit on their development and video process for the unique style they call "Paperworks." This session is designed to be an open discussion, so please come with some questions you may want to ask Lee about his technique or some suggestions for what other topics should be explained in "Plain English." How To Add YouTube Video to NMC Web Content

In this howto feature, I will describe the exact steps used to create the demo Poddy the Wombat entry.This will work for any content form that presents the visaul text editor, so for this example, I created Blog entry via the Create Content link on the lower left.
So I might first write a few words of text. To add a YouTube video, click the "Flash Video button":

In this first example, we show the steps that individuals from member organizations can do to create their own account on the site (in good web 2.0 spirit, it is self service!)
