1:15 – 5:00 pm Working Session
Austin, Lakeview & Skyline Rooms
The Working Session will involve all participants in developing new collaborative projects in three areas, drawn from ideas submitted in advance, as well as new ideas that emerge onsite:
NMC projects of large scope, to be managed from the NMC offices
NMC projects among member institutions, to be led by NMC institutions
Regional projects, built on collaborations between nearby institutions
Each of these areas will be the focus of an afternoon-long working session, led by a team of facilitators, that will help participants explore and refine ideas, develop project goals and timelines, conceptualize project teams and activities, and draft an initial budget. Funding considerations will be explored, with the idea of refining ideas so that they will be attractive to external funding agencies. A wrap-up session will be devoted to exploring how the NMC offices can help support the identified projects in all three categories, and others that may emerge during the coming year.
