Session Description

The life experience of the second-year college journalism student frequently limits their potential to write and produce compelling narrative stories. Conversely, many individuals with pre-onset Alzheimers disease have lived full lives, and have rich stories to share, yet face their inevitable loss. In such situations, their families feel helpless. This project introduces students to patients and provides a unique opportunity to create digital multimedia stories to help families cope with change and preserve the stories of their loved ones, while helping students to discover a narrative voice and improve the quality of their writing in a way that brings meaning and value to all.
